27. No person shall import the fish referred to in the Fish Health Protection Regulations (C.R.C., c. 812) unless they are certified free of disease in accordance with the procedure established under those Regulations.
No person shall import fish other than those referred to in the Fish Health Protection Regulations, except where the shipper gives a sanitary report demonstrating, to the Minister’s satisfaction, that the fish do not have the diseases listed in schedules 2 and 4 to those Regulations.
The requirements of the first and second paragraphs do not apply where live fish are imported for aquarium fish-keeping purposes insofar as the fish is not of a native or naturalized species, or for research purposes, provided that
(1)  holding equipment and facilities are efficient;
(2)  waste water from such equipment and facilities is disinfected; and
(3)  the fish are destroyed once the experiments are completed.
